Joseph Klein Appointed General Manager At Deerhurst Resort

Deerhurst Resort announced today the appointment of Mr.Joseph Klein to the position of General Manager effective November 14, 2005. Mr. Klein comes to Deerhurst Resort from the Fairmont Algonquin Hotel in New Brunswick, where he has held the position of General Manager since February 2003.

Prior to his tenure at the Fairmont Algonquin Hotel, Mr. Klein served as Director of Operations at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Alberta and Regional Director of Training for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. He has also held executive positions with Westin Hotels and Wardair Canada.

Zeppa joins Atlific Sales Team

Atlific Hotels & Resort is please to announce today the hiring of Mrs. Vicki Zeppa as National Director of Group Sales of Atlific Hotels & Resorts. Mrs. Zeppa will be based out of Atlific's Toronto regional sales office and will focus primarily on corporate and association group business for all Atlific hotels nation wide. Mrs. Zeppa has spent the last several years as corporate sales manager for the Delta Chelsea Hotel in downtown Toronto and has also worked with the airline industry and other tourism sector clients. Mrs. Zeppa will start in her new position as of April 11th.

We are all delighted to have Vicki join the team and look forward to working with her and wish her great success in this new challenge.


November 5, 2004 – Vancouver, British Columbia

InterContinental Hotels Group awarded the Holiday Inn International Vancouver Airport with its sixth Torchbearer Award in seven years making the hotel one of the best ten Holiday Inn hotels in the world.

Not to be outdone by this achievement, the General Manager, Keith Tsukishima, was further recognized as one of the top three general managers in the system.   Congratulations to Keith and his team!

October 13, 2004 – Montréal, Québec

Atlific Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce the construction of a Holiday Inn Express & Suites near Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport in Montréal.   The hotel will be located at the corner of Côte de liesse and 55 th Avenue in Dorval, just 2 minutes from the Airport.

Construction of the hotel will start before the new year and will be taken on by Atlific's partner in this project ChemTech Construction Inc., of Montréal.   The hotel is slated to be finished and open for business by the fall of 2005.   Mr. Michael San Gregorio, President of ChemTech Construction Inc. stated, “The hotel's location will be ideal for airport, downtown and west island access.”

The hotel will feature 166 suites, meeting facilities, indoor pool and exercise room.   A 24 hr shuttle to and from Trudeau Airport will also serve to ease our guests' travels.

Montréal Marriott Château Champlain is Awarded Heritage Site

Héritage Montréal, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a better appreciation of Montréal's architectural heritage, has awarded the Montréal Marriott Château Champlain the distinction of a Héritage Montreal site. The hotel is to be part of the   historical Dorchester Square circuit. This circuit will consist of a self-guided tour of 15 historical sites in the downtown area.   Each site will be highlighted on a descriptive plaque outlining the building's history. The final installation of all the plaques will be completed by early fall.
