Atlific Hotels has been chosen by Hotelier Magazine as their Company of the Year at the 2009 Pinnacle Awards and as recipient of the 2010 Tops In Hospitality Award. For more than 20 years Foodservice and Hospitality magazine, and its sister publication Hotelier, have presented awards to leading individuals and companies that have made outstanding contributions to the industry. Atlific Hotels was selected for the Company of the Year award based on a long list of criteria including its growth, innovation and accomplishments, vision and leadership and community spirit. The Tops In Hospitality Award recognizes the greatest dollar increase in revenue in the hotel category. Deerhurst Resort has been chosen to represent Canada on the international stage as the host site for the 2010 G8 World Summit of leaders based on its accessible location, expertise in hosting large-scale events and extensive conference facilities.
The Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown received the Hotel Association of Canada’s Hall of Fame Award of Excellence for Humanitarianism, based on the hotel’s responsiveness to the local community, significant charitable accomplishments, and exemplary leadership and commitment. The Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown was also selected by the Intercontinental Hotel Group to be the first hotel to introduce the Holiday Inn’s new branding to Canada.
In 2009, the 22nd annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards recognized the Magnolia Hotel & Spa, Victoria’s four-diamond, European-style boutique hotel & Spa, as number twenty-two on the top 30 Canadian Hotels list. The hotel has been recognized for the past three consecutive years by Condé Nast Traveler and achieved a top 3 spot in 2007.
Quality Inn Northern Grand has won the APEX Award through Choice Hotels for the Best Renovation/Redesign. This national award is designed to recognize superior hotel renovations and redesigns that have been completed throughout the year.
In 2008, the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour was awarded with Marriott International’s most prestigious North American accolade given to a full-service property – 2007 Hotel of the Year. This award is based on overall performance and guest satisfaction and tops the long list of awards given to the property since its opening in 2004.
